Is “Doing It Yourself” Always Cheaper?
This home was severely damaged after the property owner & the tenant decided to install their own water heater.
This water heater not only exploded, it traveled 135+ yards before it finally stopped.
Nothing wrong with doing things yourself … but there are definitely some projects where it’s better to hire an expert to get the job done right. Think these guys saved themselves any money?
Safety tip: have your water heater & its pressure relief valve checked once a year. Not doing so will actually void the manufacturer’s warranty.
